Lucy H. Young

Lucy H. Young 95, formerly of Linn Township, passed away peacefully Wednesday Sept. 16 2015 at her residence in Richmond Township, Wi. Lucy was born March 27, 1920 in Lynxville, WI. the daughter of Lee and Iva Sutton Haines. At 10 years old the family moved to Walworth County. At 16 years old on June 2, 1936 Lucy married the love of her life Harry Young. They were married 74 years before Harry's passing on August 1, 2010. Lucy loved watching and feeding the hummingbirds and Sandhill Cranes which came to her backyard. She took great pride in her many flower beds and rose bushes. She kept up with all the news and loved word-find puzzles. Lucy was a devoted wife, loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great Great Grandmother. Lucy is survived by her daughters Lucy Jane (David) Peters, Lyons, WI. And Susan (Steve) Doemel, Whitewater, WI. A Son Harry James (Teresa) Young of Walworth, WI. 10 Grandchildren, 18 Great Grandchildren and 14 Great Great Grandchildren. A brother Lee (June) Haines of Mims, Fl. Sister-in-laws June Volbrecht and Marilyn Haines. Nieces, Nephews and numerous wonderful friends. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harry, sisters Florence Schneider and Eva Ackerman, Brothers, Loren Larry & George Haines. 2 Great Grandchildren Stephanie Abell and Kai Tem Pas Anderson. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Monday Sept. 21, 2015 at the Steinke Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Lake Geneva, WI. With Chaplain Angie Alesci of the Aurora At Home Hospice of Burlington, WI. Officiating. Entombment will be at the Roselawn Memory Gardens Cemetery, Delavan twnp WI. Delavan WI. Visitation will be held on Monday from 9:00 A.M. to time of services. Thank you to the Aurora At Home Hospice for their guidance and care.
