Marie Ann Howe

December 10, 1934 — September 24, 2025

Marie Ann Howe, 90 years old of Elkhorn, WI passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025. She was born December 10, 1934 to the late Amanda Louise Taylor and was raised by her great aunt and uncle, Susie and Paul Tribble. She married Homer Glen Pace on November 2, 1951 and had 6 children. She then went on to Ginny’s School and earned her GED at the age of 30 and received certification for police dispatching. On September 14, 1971, Marie was united in marriage to her husband, James Howe in Geneva, IL and he preceded her in death on October 4, 2013. From her marriage, she was honored to adopt her son, Mark. Marie went back to school to become certified for foster care and over the course of 10 years, Marie and her husband fostered 329 teenage children. She has been a member of Mt. Zion Christian Church of Lake Geneva since 2008. Marie spent countless hours volunteering for various organizations and enjoyed helping others as it gave her so much joy. She organized and ran the food pantry and sewed comfort bears for hospice patients.


Survivors include, her children, Danny (Jeanne) Pace Sr., Pamela Gonzalez, Doug Pace, Randy (Patti) Pace, Rhonda (Brian) Penrose, and Mark (Kim) Howe; 32 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Along with her mother and husband, Marie was preceded in death by her daughter, Teresa Pace; aunt and uncle, Susie and Paul; and son-in-law, Danny Gonzalez.


Funeral Services will be held at 5:00PM Sunday, September 28, 2025 at Mt. Zion Christian Church, 2330 State Rd. 120 Lake Geneva, WI 53147.
