Marilyn Jean Humphrey, 80, of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 18, 2024. She was born on August 11, 1943, in Martin, Tennessee, to the late JB and Opal (nee Strom) Winston. Marilyn grew up in Chicago, Illinois, and was united in marriage to Donald R. Humphrey, in February of 1960. The two raised their family in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
Survived by her loving husband, Donald; children Dawn (Earl) Wild, Garry Humphrey, and Karin (Floyd) Koniarski; daughter-in-law Cindy Humphrey; grandchildren Sara (James), Jamie (Greg), Kristen (Nicholas), Aaron, Megan, and Jerimiah; siblings Jerry, Donna, and Pam; as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, JB and Opal Winston, as well as her son, Ricky Humphrey.
A loving wife of 64 years, Marilyn will be remembered as a wonderful, adoring, and dedicated mother and grandmother. She spread happiness and joy wherever she went, and was always there for anyone in need. She will be dearly missed.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Lazarczyk Simple Choice of Lake Geneva is proudly serving the family.
