Mark Elliot Moore

Mark E. Moore, 73, lifetime resident of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully in his sleep on November 3, 2023, at his home in Genoa City.

He was born on September 13, 1950, in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, to the late Walter “Bud” and Audrey (nee Cuthall) Moore, who both preceded him in death.

Survived by his daughter, Haley (Shawn Oligney) Moore; longtime partner Shari Jo; first wife and mother of Haley, Jari Moore; grandchildren Reagan, McKinley, Jillian, Lily, Haidyn, Asher, Shane, Kyle, and Carter; siblings Wayne (Kathy) Moore, Dawn (Rick) Lee, Shawn (Lisa) Moore, and Kelly (Kirk) Cushman; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Mark was a diverse man, with many varied hobbies and interests. He lettered in swimming at UW-Stout, and continued to love the sport throughout his life, teaching his children and grandchildren to swim. He had a deep love for animals and gardening, sharing his green thumb with others whenever he could. Always ready with an off-color or sarcastic remark, Mark’s friends and family will never forget his wit, humor, and words. He was independent, living life his way and marching to the beat of his own drum. A talented cook, those lucky enough to dine in Mark’s kitchen will always remember his “Baby-Burgers” and nachos. He cherished time spent with his grandchildren and family, and was an incredible carpenter. Mark was a beloved father, grandfather, partner, and friend. He will be missed by many.

Private family services were held with a Celebration of Life to take place Summer of 2024.
