Mildred Jean Bowman, 95, of Delavan passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family on July 25, 2019. Mildred was born September 14, 1923 to Josephine and Jerry Cervenka in Merrillan, Wisconsin. She worked as a book keeper at the Elkhorn Co-op and worked at Simon Seed Farms for 30 years. She married Everett D. Bowman October 29,1960 at the Little Brown Church in the Valley. They were avid square dancers, belonged to Walco Campers, and Lauderdale Snow drifters club. They were members of Prairie Grove Baptist Church in Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Mildred taught Sunday School classes, was a Cub Scout and 4H leader, and taught 4H leather and metal enameling classes. She was a judge at the Rock County Fair, a Master Gardener, an Eldercare Hospice volunteer, awarded the Governor's Volunteer Excellence award, and taught sewing classes. She loved cooking, baking, crafts and making dolls. She is survived by her son Tim Bowman, daughter Tammy (Tim) Hatch, two grand-daughters Kristy and Katelyn Bowman and a great grandson Xander Wisnoski. Funeral services are 4pm at Calvary Community Church with the Rev. Chuck Cervenka officiating. Burial services are 11am Monday, August 5th in East Delavan Cemetery. Friends may call 3 to 4pm on Sunday at church where a funeral luncheon will be served at 5pm. Betzer Funeral Home is serving the family. Service Details.
