Mildred Sawyer

Mildred K. Sawyer 84yrs. Longtime resident of Sharon, Elkhorn, and Delavan, WI passed away to eternal life on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Ridgestone Village in Delavan, WI. Mildred was born on July 11, 1936 to Walter and Eva (Kutschat) Knackstedt in Chicago, IL the third of four daughters. Mildred is survived by her children Cindy (Don) Hafferkamp, Cheryl (Jon) Smith and Curt (Laura) Sawyer, grandchildren Alex, Amber, Ryan, CJ (Raven), Craig (Naomi), Sheldon, Serenity, Marissa and Devin, brothers-in-law Ray Sawyer and John Noufrios, cousin Harold (Su) Steppuhn, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. Preceded in death by her parents, son Willard Jackson Alsup, sisters Ruth Knackstedt, Esther Knackstedt, and Nancy Noufrios, and cousin Herbert Kutschat. Mildred was employed for many years at Swiss Tech and Society Asset's. Mildred was accomplished in knitting and crochet, with an extensive display of Walworth County Fair ribbons. Memories of White Elephant Exchanges and family cookouts were some of Mildred's recent happiest moments. A memorial gathering will be held at the funeral home on Sunday July 11th from 1-2pm with a memorial service at 2pm a continued Celebration of Life to be held at Congdon Park starting a 3PM. Private Interment Spring Grove Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorials to Aurora Hospice, Ridgestone in Delavan or Congdon. Gardens would be appreciated.
