Nancy Wagner Blackman, a longtime resident of the Delavan area, died on Thursday, July 25th, 2019 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Born on March 5th, 1937 in Madison Wisconsin, Nancy was the daughter of Herman Wagner and Helen Shapiro Wagner. Nancy spent her childhood passing time with her family, including her two siblings Howard Wagner and Susan Nissim. She had fond memories of playing in Madison with her friends and spending time with her father picking out songs for the jukebox at the family restaurant, the Campus Soda Grill. Nancy married Marvin "Mickey" Blackman, a chef for the United States Navy who became a restauranteur and small business owner. They were the proud owners of the Tiger Lounge in downtown Delavan. Together they raised two children, Lori and Jeff. Nancy became an independent entrepreneur and went into the field of insurance, specializing in Medicare, long term care, and other policies that would help countless clients in the Wisconsin area as they made critical decisions about their futures. Nancy was not only an insurance salesperson, but a dear friend to many of her clients. Nancy was a force of nature who made a lasting impression on everyone she met. Her love for the world and curiosity about those who lived in it were boundless. Whether she met you once or had been your friend for decades, she loved nothing more than getting the chance to talk to you and learn about your life. Her favorite saying was "Don't Postpone Joy," and she lived by that saying. She will be sincerely and deeply missed. She is survived by her daughter, Lori Darugar, and her son Jeff Blackman. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Corbett, Rebecca, Sophia, and Viola, as well as three great grandchildren: Jeremiah, Kyra, and Esteban, Jr. The visitation for Nancy will be held on Friday, August 2nd from 1:00-5:00pm at Betzer Funeral Home at 118 South 2nd Street in Delavan, Wisconsin.
