Nancy Lee Olson

Nancy Lee Olson (nee DeMars) age 87 years. Longtime resident of Lake Geneva and currently a resident of Golden Years in Walworth. Passed to eternal life on Saturday, February 21, 2026. Nancy was born on November 17, 1938, in Escanaba, MI to the late Arthur DeMars and Helen Buckland. She married the late William E. Olson on June 7, 1958, in Chicago, IL, he preceded her in death on December 24, 1989. Nancy was raised in Escanaba, MI along with her sister and brother. When she turned 7 years old her family moved to Chicago. She found a love for horses and was able to find a job working at the local stables working with horses and giving lessons. She met the love of her life in Chicago, and they moved to Lake Geneva in 1972. Nancy and her husband started and ran Little Bill’s Lawn Service, she did it all, office work, and even got on the mower. She raised pony’s, goats, chickens on her farm and always looked forward to taking her animals to the Walworth Couty Fair to display them, she won many awards over the years for her animals. She was a long-time member of the Shetland Pony Club. She is survived by nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Betty Barber and Brother Bob Gereau. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 10am-12 Noon at the Lazarczyk Family Funeral Home (515 Center Street, Lake Geneva) with a service at Noon. She will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery.
