Nancy Jean Zolden Waters, originally of Delavan, WI, passed away on March 12, 2022. Nancy was born in Delavan, Wisconsin on October 4, 1947 to Herbert and Vera Zoldan, who not long before had immigrated to the United States from Germany. She had one older brother, Tom. All preceded her in death. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Juny Kills In The Water. Nancy was a graduate of Delavan High School, class of 1966. She briefly attended University of Whitewater. Juny and Nancy faced discrimination as an interracial couple, even from their own families. This fact did not matter to them. Nancy married Juny Kills In The Water in 1976. Their only child, Peter, was born in 1977. Nancy was an artist, creating beautiful paintings, sketches, and quilts. Even in her final years, when her health was declining and she was living in a nursing home, she continued to create, making many beautiful quits for her fellow residents. Nancy is survived by her beloved son, Peter; daughter in law Marissa Copler, grandchildren Damon Waters, Nicholas Waters, and Schuyler Waters; step-grandchildren David Jones, Roze Copler, Jason Jones, and Junior Jones; granddaughter in law Marissa Waters; and two beautiful great-granddaughters, Moira and Pharah Waters.
