Natalie J. Steffgen (Poppens) 86 of Greenville, NC and formerly of Florida and Lake Geneva, WI. Passed to eternal life Monday May 22, 2017 in Greenville, NC. Natalie was born in Chicago, IL to the late Clyde and Viola (Bandlow) ViPond. Natalie married the late Floyd Steffgen in Clearwater, FL. Graduated from the university of South Florida and taught elementary school in Pinellas Co, Florida and was well known to her students as Natalie Poppens. Survived by her 3 sons, Peter (Shelly) Poppens of Bryson City, NC, Larry (Nyssa) Raymond of St. Petersburg, FL and Jeffrey Poppens of Greenville, NC and her Granddaughter Laurie Poppens. Preceded in death by her parents, Sister Jacquelyn Eiffer, brother Clyde ViPond as well as former husband Ray Poppens. Also survived by many friends. Private services were held with interment at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lake Geneva, WI.
