Norma Jean Steltenpohl

Norma Jean (Henry) Steltenpohl, 89, passed to eternal life on March 18, 2025.

Norma was born August 13, 1935 to the late Nelson and Evelyn Henry. She

married William J. (Bill) Steltenpohl on August 8 th , 1958.

Norma worked as a telephone operator for AT&T and Ameritech for 35 years. She

was a member of First Ev. Lutheran Church where she was an active member of

the choir for almost 50 years and served on many committees. She enjoyed

people and can best be described as a social butterfly. Norma had a love for Jesus

and life. Everyone smiled when she was around them.

Norma is survived by her son Craig (Diane) Steltenpohl, three grandchildren,

Elizabeth (Mark) Golly, William Steltenpohl and Johnathon (Brittney) Steltenpohl.

She has seven great grandchildren; Katelyn (Tommy) Taylor, Memphis Krause,

Bailey Golly, Mason Steltenpohl, Matthew Steltenpohl, John Golly and Tennessee

Steltenpohl. Norma has one great great granddaughter, Sadie Taylor. Her

grandchildren were her pride and joy. In addition, Norma is survived by her

lifelong friends, Carolee Olson and Elaine Briel.

She was preceded in death by her husband William on July 31, 1960, and by her

parents Nelson and Evelyn Henry, brother John Henry, sister Lorraine (Willie)

Sagert, sister Pat (Leland) Peyer, and brother Eugene aka Babe (Lorraine) Henry.

Thank you to Sue Halsey (Norma’s great niece) for being her caregiver and to the Aurora Hospice team, Elma and Karen for caring for her the last few months.

Funeral will be held at First Evangelical Lutheran Church (1101 Logan St, Lake Geneva, WI 53147) on Saturday, March 29, 2025. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. with services at 12:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests a memorial donation to First Evangelical Lutheran School Tuition Fund.

The family will hold a private interment service at Oakhill

Cemetery at a later date.
