Orlo Oliver Brown

Orlo Oliver BROWN, 94 of lifelong Delavan Resident died at his home on Saturday, July 11, 2015. Orlo was born September 11, 1920 in Troy, Wisconsin the son of Herman August Brown and Clara Amelia Gruelich. Orlo was an 1938 Graduate of Delavan High School. He Married Kathryn Louise Liddle June 13 1942 at the Congregational Church in Delavan. Orlo served in WW2 with the U. S. Army . He then started his banking career with Wisconsin State Bank where he stayed 35 years. During that time he graduated from Madison School of Banking in 1962. He later loved to Farmers State Bank on Darien and worked there for 15 years. Orlo was a 70 year member of the U CC-Congregational church of Delavan. He was a member of American Legion Post 95. He served his community in a number of ways, as he was on the Police Commission, Spring Grove Cemetery Assoc. Little League Orlo is survived by two daughters, Patricia, (Richard) Arenz of Delavan and Mary Kay (Roger) Davis of Darien, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Kathryn, his parents and other family members. Funeral services will be 11am Thursday, July 16, 2015 at the Betzer Funeral Home with the Rev. Jean Wallenfang officiating. Burial with full military rites will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 7pm on Wednesday, July 15, 2015. Memorials to the U CC-Congreational Church or Delavan or Am Legion Post 95 of Delavan are appreciated.
