Paula M Butek

Paula Marie Butek 76, Lake Geneva went home to be with the Lord on October 17, 2016. Paula was born March 9, 1940 in Racine WI. the daughter of Alfred & Bertha Kowalski Baumeister. United into marriage to Dennis L. Butek March 3, 1962 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Lake Geneva, WI. While Paula was in grade school, her family temporarily relocated to Pendleton, Oregon. After the family returned to Wisconsin, they moved to Walworth County where Paula felt most at home the rest of her life. Paula attended Lake Geneva High School where she participated in Student government and played field hockey, and graduated with the class of 1958. Paula worked as a telephone operator from 1956 to 1964 for the Wisconsin Telephone Company. Paula loved Southeastern Wisconsin and enjoyed taking day trips to explore new places and visit historical locations. She also loved to sew, read and work on crafts and spend time with her cats. Surviving is her husband of 54 years, Dennis, daughter Joan (Rodney) Ohrt, of Waukesha, and a son Dennis (Janice) Butek, Elk Grove Village, IL. Proceeded in death by her parents, daughter Elizabeth Beasley, brother, Boyd Baumeister. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday October 24th, 2016 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Lake Geneva with Fr. Jim Schuerman officiating. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Cemetery, Lyons Twnp. WI. Visitation will be held at the Steinke Funeral Home & Cremation Services from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Sunday October 23rd, 2016.
