Philip Emil Spizziri, 82, of Lake Geneva, Wisconsin, and former longtime resident of Morton Grove, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, surrounded by family.

He was born on June 25, 1941 in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Mary Louise (nee Blesch) and Louis Anthony Spizziri. He was united in marriage to the late Harriet Woodruff in 1962; she preceded him in death on June 2, 2023.

Phil is survived by his children, Annabelle (Joseph R.) Tines and Adam Spizziri; grandchildren Joseph P. (Tara) Tines, Philip K. (Laura) Tines, Eric Spizziri, and Madison Spizziri; great-grandchildren Joseph T. Tines and Emma L. Tines; brother Peter “Skip” (Sandra) Spizziri; sister Geraldine (William) Disselhorst; nieces and nephews David (Pamela) Disselhorst, Michele (Steven) Lombardi, Jennifer (Gregg) Vesely, Christopher (Roseanne) Spizziri, and Lisa (Larry) Waserman; as well as other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Harriet Spizziri, parents Louis and Mary Spizziri, sister-in-law Charlotte Leib, and cousin James Carton as well as other relatives and friends.

A Wisconsin guy at heart, Phil loved fishing, classic cars, racing, and spending time with family. He co-owned a machine shop with his brother, Skip, for many years, beginning in Chicago and ending in Des Plaines, Illinois. When he wasn’t spending time in Wisconsin, Phil enjoyed vacationing in Florida and fishing in Canada. “Big Phil” to his family, his presence will be dearly missed by many.

A private Celebration of Life will take place at a later date with details pending. Lazarczyk Family Funeral Homes of Lake Geneva is proudly serving the family.
