Philip Leo Starkey

Philip Leo Starkey, 57 years old of Lake Geneva, WI passed away Thursday, October 8, 2026 after a long battle with cancer. He was born January 24, 1969 to Dean and Carol (Wachowiak) Starkey in Elkhorn, WI. Philip’s life creed was “God, Family, and Country.” He attended St. Francis De Sales Church in Lake Geneva, WI and enjoyed gathering with family and friends. Philip was a sports fanatic and enthusiastically cheered on any sport. He served in the United States Army and was a veteran of Desert Storm. Philip did special duty for six months on the Honor Guard serving our nation's fallen soldiers.

Survivors include, his mother, Carol J. Starkey of Lake Geneva, WI; brother, Chadd Starkey of Elkhorn, WI; niece and godchild, Alyssa Starkey of Elkhorn, WI; and nephew, Michael Starkey of Elkhorn, WI. Philip was preceded in death by his father, Dean L. Starkey; and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Memorial Visitation will be held from 9:00AM until the time of service at 11:00AM Friday, October 23, 2026 at Lazarczyk Family Funeral Home 515 Center St. Lake Geneva, WI 53147 with Father Ray Guthrie officiating. Interment with Military Honors to immediately follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery Elkhorn, WI. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Wounded Warrior Project or Lakeland Animal Shelter.
