Richard C. Day

February 6, 1947 — January 17, 2025

Richard Curtis Day, age 77, of Springfield, WI, peacefully fell asleep in death on January 17, 2025, with family by his side, after courageously fighting cancer.

Born on February 6, 1947, in Wakefield, MI, Richard was the beloved son of Clarence and Almeda Day. He graduated from Burlington High School in 1965 and was baptized as a member of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1962. Six years later, on July 26, 1968, he married Beverly Earle, the love of his life.

Richard had an affinity for collecting various tools and gadgets, enjoyed the comfort of his recliner chair, and cherished dining out with family. He was particularly fond of a fine cup of Folgers Instant coffee. Traveling brought him joy, with his favorite destination being "Up North." Richard and Beverly honeymooned in Tomahawk, WI, and continued to vacation there with their family for over 30 years.

Known for his boundless kindness and quick-witted sense of humor, Richard made a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Richard is survived by his loving wife, Beverly; his children Kevin (Tara), Kristopher (Stephanie), and Kimberly; grandchildren Morgan Booth, Scott, Seth, and Sawyer Day; and great-grandson Huckston Booth. He is also survived by his brother Ed (Debra) Day, special friend Granddog Royal, and many nieces, nephews, other family members, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Linda Skogstad, nephew Tim Skogstad, and numerous aunts, uncles, family members, and friends.

Richard's family and friends will forever remember his generous spirit and warm humor. His legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

The Lazarczyk Family Funeral Home of Lake Geneva & Delavan is honored to serve the family.
