Richard Dean 'Dick' Korpela

Richard "Dick" D. Korpela, 78, formerly of Delavan, late of Kenosha, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Hospitality Nursing and Rehab. He was born on November 25, 1937 to the late Sulo and Laila (Ollie) Korpela in Hurley. He was educated in the schools of Hurley. He attended a vocational school in Wausau to be a draftsman. Dick worked at G&H in Kenosha for many years, after closing he relocated to Delavan. Dick enjoyed riding his scooter going to McDonalds, Shopko and Piggly Wiggly to socialize He especially enjoyed his friends Tootie Wilson, Ron from the barber shop, Joan who cared for his household and Darrell. . Dick is survived by his brother James (Darlene) Korpela of Kenosha and a niece Chris (Ken) Bisgrave. He is preceded in death by his nephew Greg Korpela. Visitation for Dick will be held on Wednesday, May 18th at the Betzer Funeral Home (118 South 2nd Street Delavan, WI 53115) from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
