Richard George Mccarthey

Richard George McCarthey, 79 formerly of Darien, and longtime Janesville resident died at St. Elizabeth's Catholic Home in Footville, Wi on Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2017. Richard was born November 5, 1937 in Janesville, WI the son of Hubert M. McCarthey and Esther Mawhinney. He married Helen Mary Hughes, October 13, 1962 in St. Judes Church in Beloit. He worked at General Motors from 1963 to 1975. He attended St. Pat's Catholic Church for many years . He is survived by his former wife, Helen. 3 sons, Michael Richard, Timothy John, and Dennis Edward. 6 grandchildren also survive him. Funeral Services are 11am. Saturday, Jan. 28th 2017 at St. Andrews Catholic Church with the Rev. William Key officiating. Burial will be in St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery next to his father. Friends may call one hour prior to services. Memoirals to St. Elizabeths Home are suggested, as they gave him loving and gentle care for years. Betzer funeral Home is serving the Family.
