Roberto L. Cruz

Roberto L. Cruz, age 89 years. Longtime resident of Darien, WI, passed away at his residence on Sunday, January 21, 2024. Roberto was born on January 3, 1935 in Oilton, Texas to Ramon and Delphina (Rodriguez) Cruz.

He married Florentina Palacios on May 3, 1953 in Laredo, Texas. Roberto was a longtime employee of Chrysler Corporation and longtime member of St. Andrew Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife Florentina, children Robert Luis Cruz Jr and Norma (Julian) Ibarra, grandchildren Veronica (Oscar) Delgado, Alma Gonzalez, Hector F (LaDondra) Gonzalez, Jr, Tiffany Cruz, Brittany (Tricia) Albert, Humberto (Vanessa) Colunga, Elva Cruz and Ricky Colunga. Also survived by Great Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Preceded in death by his parents, sister Maria, daughter Lydia Esmeralda, grandson Pedro A. Gonzalez, grandson Juan C. Gonzalez and son-in-law Hector Gonzalez.

Visitation will be held at the Lazarczyk Family Funeral Home-Betzer Chapel (118 South 2nd Street) on Friday, January 26th from 9:30-11:30 and procession to St. Andrew Catholic Church at 11:45 for Mass of Christian Burial at Noon. Interment to follow at Darien Cemetery.
