Rodney M. Luessenhop

Rodney Marlin Luessenhop age 90, passed away Tuesday, April 6th, 2021. He was born September 6th, 1930 in Illinois to William and Sadie (Riegel) Luessenhop. Rodney was united in marriage to Connie Judd on February 23rd, 1952. Rodney is survived by his two daughters Kathryn (Lee) Schwartz of Darien, WI and Karen (Michael) DePellegrin of Acme, PA and grandsons Andy (Amy) Schwartz of Darien, WI and Evan (Melanie) Estright of Connellsville, PA, great-grandchildren Shelby, Jaelyn, Owen, Westin, and Kinsley, and great great-granddaughter Kyleigh. Rodney was preceded in death by his wife Connie, son Jim, brother Robert, and sister Gladys. Rodney moved to his farm in Darien in 1957. He retired from Dean Foods in Chemung, IL in 1996. He was a member of the Darien Methodist Church, the Delavan/Darien Kiwanis and the Harvard Moose Lodge. Rodney enjoyed watching sports especially his favorite teams the Chicago Bears and the Chicago White Sox. He also enjoyed drinking coffee with his friends at the West Wind Diner and the Delavan McDonald's. He will be remembered for his jokes, for riding his bicycle and moped and for his kindness and generosity. He will be sadly missed by his friends and family.
