Ronald Allen "Ron" Nickels

Ronald (Ron) Allen Nickels, age 52, formerly of Darien, WI. passed away peacefully on July 7, 2022. Ron was born on Mother's Day, May 10, 1970, at Lakeland Hospital in Elkhorn. First born son to Michael Nickels and Sandra (Hammerstad) Nickels - Brockwell. Ron was an exceptional person. He enjoyed being outdoors, horses, riding on the 4-wheeler with his brother, spending time with family, and brought adventure, joy, and laughter to many during his life. Ron is survived by his mother Sandi (Harold Howell), brother Robbie (Michele) Nickels, sister Crystal (Dannon) James; nieces and nephews Aidan, Austin, Danny, Adriana, and Ava (special niece to Ron); many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Ron is preceded in death by his father, Mike, stepfather Wayne, grandparents Francis and Alva Nickels, Hjalmar and Hazel Hammerstad, and John and Lillian Brockwell. A graveside service will be held on at 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 22, 2022, at St. Andrews Catholic Cemetery in Delavan, Wisconsin. A celebration of life will follow from 12 - 3 p.m. at Darien West Park- intersection of Hwy 14 and North Road (335 W. Madison St., Darien, WI).
