Sandra Marie Bliss

Sandra M. (Coty) Bliss- (May 10, 1949- February 26, 2017) Sandra M. (Coty) Bliss, 67 of Delavan, WI died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Sunday February 26, 2017, after a long battle with kidney disease. She was born, May 10, 1949 in Chicago, IL to Calvin Frank Coty and Louise Theresa (Hofbauer) Coty. She was a 1967 graduate of Delavan Darien High School. On September 11, 1971, she married Kenneth Paul Bliss. Sandy worked for Dr. Martin as a nurse assistant and office manager for 30 years. Then she was employed by Aurora Heath Care in medical records for 15 years. She truly enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Sandy and Ken enjoyed traveling together, especially their many cruises. She will be remembered as a passionate knitter who spent many hours making afghans and prayer shawls for local hospitals and nursing homes, donating over 100 handmade afghans and prayer shawls. Sandy is survived by her husband Ken and their three children, Jeff and (Monica) Bliss of Kenosha, WI, Scott Bliss of Delavan, WI, and Abby and (Mike) Travis of Delavan, WI, and six grandchildren Noah Bliss of Kenosha, WI, Jaden Delf of Sacramento, CA, Cody Bliss, Logan, George, and Joe Travis of Delavan, WI. She is also survived by her three siblings, Steve Coty of Greenfield, WI, Nancy and (Randy) Schneider of Janesville, WI, and Val and (Roger) Timler of Clinton, WI, and six nieces and nephews, Dustin, Derek, Hailey, Kali, Ethan, and Hannah. She was preceded in death by both of her parents. Services for Sandy will be at 11 a.m. Friday March 3, at UCC-Congregational Church, 123 E. Washington St., Delavan, WI. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday March 2, at Betzer Funeral Home, 118 S. Second St., Delavan, WI and from 10 a.m. until time of services Friday at the Church.
