Shirley Irene Berry

Shirley Irene Berry, 81 years old of Genoa City, WI passed away Sunday, October 4, 2026. She was born November 7, 1944 to the late Charles and Norma Jean (Sickler) Black in Columbus, OH. On June 4, 1966, Shirley was united in marriage with her husband, Dennis. She enjoyed getting lost in her garden, decorating for every occasion, and loving on her five adoring cats. Shirley looked forward to spending time with family and friends, especially when it came to hosting family gatherings. When she was hosting, she was known for her warmth and generosity.

Survivors include, her husband of 60 years, Dennis; children, Angela (Phil) Moulton, Amy Arena, Elise (Hasan) Yakisan, Adam (Sylvia) Berry, and Emily (Michael) VanPatten; grandchildren, Audrey Simper, Camille Woodard, Nick Simper, Madeline Arena, Jillian Arena, Abraham Yakisan, Alexander Yakisan, Jacob VanPatten, and Whitney Kuchin; great-grandchildren, Gordon Kuchin and Claire Woodard; and brother, Charles Jr. (Judy) Black. Along with her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her sister, Alice Black.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Shirley will be laid to rest in Springfield Union Cemetery Burlington, WI. For additional information, please call (262)-248-2320.
