Stanley R. Mikrut 86, Lake Como, WI, died Wednesday December 28, 2016 at the Willowfield Nursing home, Delavan, WI. Stanley was born September 25, 1930 in Chicago, IL. the son of Stanley and Agnes Paprocki Mikrut. United in marriage to June M. Garey November 26, 1955 in Harvard, IL. He was a member of St. Francis de sales Catholic Church, Lake Geneva, WI, VFW Post of Elkhorn, Wisconsin #6375, Walworth County Supervisor for 12 years, Director of Lake Como Beach Association for several years, owned and operated for 20 years the Como Inn Tavern as well as Mikrut Implement Co. He served in the US Army as a medic during WWII. Surviving is his wife June, Sister Virginia (Robert) Glickenberger of Belvidere, IL. and a brother Walter (Delores) Mikrut of Harvard, IL. Preceded in death by his parents, a sister Eugenia Twist and three brothers, Casey, Eugene, and Stephen Mirkrut. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday January 3, 2017 at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Lake Geneva at 11:00A.M with Fr. Jim Schuerman officiating. Burial will be at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3:00P.M. to 6:00P.M. Monday January 2, 2016 at Steinke Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Lake Geneva, WI.
