Virginia L. 'Moody' Carlson-Kusch

Virginia was born on a farm in Washington County near Keota Iowa. The first child of Dale A. Moody and Marjorie I (Derby) Moody. She recently passed into the hands of our Lord on 11/10/2016. She leaves behind her sister, Sharon (Moody) Wellington, Four children: her eldest, Ron Carlson and wife Betty of Muscatine IA, Eldest daughter Carol (Carlson) Lefler and husband Vern of Dunnellon, FL, youngest son, Frederick Carlson and wife Cherl of Oconomowoc, WI, and youngest daughter, Deborah (Carlson) Heitmann and husband Wayne of Dubuque, IA. Step children Judy and Buddy Kusch. 13 beloved Grandchildren, 24 precious great grandchildren, 13 adorable great great grandchildren. Preceding her in death by her parents and two husbands, Jerome E, Carlson, married on May 11, 1941, Jerry died on July 23, 1989 Second husband Lloyd C. Kusch, married on December 31, 1992, Lloyd died on September 28, 2009 Also proceeded in death by brother Bob Moody, a grandson James Buccieri, great grandson Michael Buccieri, and stepson Ronnie Kusch. Virginia was a graduate of Keota High School and attended business school. She faithfully served the Lord as a Sunday School teacher and volunteer. Virginia reflected the character of her Lord throughout her life, as a wife, mother and devoted grandmother. She was a Iowa girl at heart and her love for gardening and cooking reflected her passion for life. Her family finds comfort and joy knowing she is with Jesus and so many loved ones who have gone before.
