Wendy Dell Hatters, 60 years old of Kenosha, WI passed away Wednesday, May 27, 2026 in Kenosha, WI, in her sleep. She was born on July 4, 1965 in Elkhorn, Wisconsin. Wendy attended college at Carthage and the University of Wisconsin- Parkside and graduated from University of Wisconsin- Parkside with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a minor in Sociology. She spent over a decade as a Crisis Intervention Social Worker for Walworth County and even longer as Business Owner and Caregiver for Pleasant Street, Inc, a collection of Adult Family Homes. Wendy created more than a business, she worked tirelessly to create a real home with experiences for her residents and a community for her employees and their families. She was known for connecting with people who struggled to connect and giving opportunities to people with few other chances. Wendy made wonderful meals and lent an ear or a dollar to those in need. Her children, sisters, and cousins knew her as the go-to person when things got tough. Wendy loved her large cat Pattison (Patty) and to dance, laugh, and be with those she loved above all else. The ones who loved her are not sure how they'll move through the world without her, but they are all certain their lives are better for her being in them. They know her strength will carry them forward.
She survived by her loving and devoted children, Isaiah Hatters and Meica (David Wilcox) Hatters; siblings, Michelle (Ron) Hatters, Tamica (Paris) Jenkins, Halton Dale, Arnetra Dale, Allison Dale, and Delicia Stokes; and biological father, Percy Dale. Wendy was preceded in death by her mother, by Nettie Hatters; father, David Hatters; special friend who was like a sister, Megan Toflinkski.
