William John Burke

William J. Burke, 90, of Lake Geneva and formerly of Chicago and Elmhurst, IL passed away to eternal life at his residence on Sunday, February 17, 2019. William was born on April 19, 1928 in Chicago, IL to the late Harry and Lillian (O'Malley) Burke. He married the the love of his life Joann C. Johnson on June 13, 1953 in Chicago. Bill worked 40 years at Clow Corp. in Chicago until he retired in 1995; and moved to Lake Geneva from Elmhurst in 1996. Living in Lake Geneva he was a member of the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. William was the beloved husband of Joann, the loving father of Michael Burke, Kathleen (James) Lindemulder, James (Carol) Burke, Susan (Richard) Natwora and Barbara (Joseph) Lagattuta. Grandfather of Travis, Keifer and Mckenzie Burke; Richard and Samuel Natwora; Gina, Anna and Joseph Lagattuta; Lauren Lindemulder and Mary Murphy. Great-grandchildren of Tyler and Ben Murphy; Teia Lindemulder and Kolton Burke. He is also survived by sister-in-law Gladys Burke, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. William was preceded in death by his parents, siblings Harry Burke, Evelyn Franz, Neil Burke and Joan Mock as well as brother-in-law Francis Mock. A visitation will be held at the St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church (130 W Main St, Lake Geneva) on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. until 12 p.m. Noon, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 12 p.m., Fr.
