William C. 'Curly' Ostrander Jr.

William "Curly" C. Ostrander, 68, Sharon, died Friday, Nov. 25, 2016, at his residence. He was born Dec. 20, 1947, in Bancroft, the son of William C. and Violey L. Whipple Ostrander. He married Mary Orsburne Aug. 14, 1992, in Delavan. Curly was a chemical operator for Morton Chemical Co., Ringwood, Illinois, for 36 years. He retired in 2008. He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Stephanie (Charles) Boviall, Sharon, and Nicole Ostrander, Elkhorn; stepdaughter, Brenda Steinke, Pell Lake, and Michelle Krerowicz, Delavan; sons, Ray Ostrander and Brendt (Jeanie) Ostrander, both of Elkhorn; stepson, Frank (Toni) Beles, Delavan, Scott Beles, Clinton, and Danny (Tara) Smith, Sharon; 25 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara (Wayne) Smith, Sharon; a brother, Edward (Judy) Ostrander, Springfield; and a sister-in-law, Helen Ostrander, Delavan. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Willard, LeRoy and Leonard Ostrander; and a sister, Beatrice Mullen. No services are scheduled at this time.
